Does what it's supposed to do September 14, 2008 Ruth Andrews (Cambridge) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
What else is there to say? It works. It does its job (very well), there are thousands of codes for (probably) every single DS game imaginable. It's easy to use, and effective. The reason I gave it a 4 in the fun rating is because it's NOT fun typing in codes that can have potentially 100 charcters into your DS, but luckily you can copy and paste it into the software that came with it, which saves a lot of tedious tapping with the stylus. The only problem I had is when I plugged it into my PC, sometimes the software didn't recognise it, but this could be because I was using Vista, and it's designed for XP. So Vista users, beware. It works, but it takes some fiddling. Great product overall, and came in very useful.
Does wat it says and more but i was unlucky May 28, 2008 A. M. Evans 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
This item is great when i first got it.It had all the cheats i wanted and loads more but i was just unlucky when it stopped working after bout an hours use.I then asked for a replacement by amazon which works fine. You should buy this definately if ur a pokemon fan i was just unlucky.
Very disappointing .... June 26, 2007 Michael D. Brown (UK) 14 out of 28 found this review helpful
Installed it OK but a key icon is missing from the DS screen. The instruction booklet is completely unintelligible to anyone without a degree in computer science. So unable to add any new codes manually.
Does exactly what it says on the tin!! - what more can I say?! Great!! June 8, 2007 Emma McFarland (Belfast, Northern Ireland) 109 out of 114 found this review helpful
After reading a few reviews across the Internet, I was a bit hesitant whether or not to buy this as some people in forums reported faulty software and difficult connectivity to your computer. However, I went ahead and ordered off Amazon (great price and came like the next day, brilliant!), and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived - the action replay is just like inserting a game into your DS and prompts you to insert a game, after which you have the options of choosing from a list of codes specifically for that game. But what about new games out? Easy! A USB cable, supplied, connects to your computer and it is so so easy to update your codes list, using the supplied software!! Even on my slow modem connection it was pretty much instant!! Now I'm able to get past a bit I was stuck in in a game! So yeah I'd recommend this for anybody who, like me, gets frustrated when they get to a certain part in a game and cannot get past it, and desperately wants to get through the rest of the game! :)
Does not work when connecting to a PC to update May 16, 2007 NoneTheLess (London, England) 16 out of 41 found this review helpful
This is the second DS Action Replay I have purchased, the first being a joint GBA/DS Action Replay. Neither of them would properly connect to the PC. A total waste of money. What's even worse is the non-existent customer help from Datel. So now I am left with a blank Action Replay cartridge, having followed instructions from Datel, to reset the cartridge. Never buy anything for your DS from Datel, you may as well burn your money, at least you'd see something cool that way.
