The original and the best! July 4, 2008 Snowy3 (UK) This is by far one of the greatest games on the Gamecube!! if you have never played it get it and stick it on your Wii!. This is a game that you can play little and often. There is only so much you can do each day in this game so when you are bored of racing around or blowing things up have a little chill out with Crossing. This game will make you laugh out loud!! some of the characters come out with the funniest things! yes the graphics look 'kiddy' but i assure you adults find this just as entertaining!. Its true that it can get repetative doing the same things each day (fishing, digging, writing letters) but to counter that there are special events on certain days and also the chance to travel to an island by connecting your DS up. This is just good wholesome fun! and like real life you start off by working to pay your mortgage off!! although its much more fun!.
It's not a game - it's another world April 17, 2007 Cid Highwind is dead 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I first heard about this game from a friend who's opinion I trusted - otherwise, I would not have touched it with a sizeable barge pole. So when I saw it second-hand for cheaper than I care to mention, I wasn't exactly in a hurry to get going. I can't remember how long into the game I got before I was totally hooked. It was probably a little over ten minutes. Something about the simplicity of life in my town (I called it Hell - this was before I realised that such cynicism has no place in this game) got to me. I could go on at length about what the games is actually about, but I think it's better to find out the easy way - by playing it for yourself.

This is a brilliant Game because i found it gives you so much freedom in how you , your house and your town look, as you can buy and choose from hundreds of items and clothing and you can even make your own designs, which is funny if the other townsfolk start to wear it. so if you like relaxing games that give you a chance to use your designer flair then buy it!
This game will take over your life. March 9, 2006 C. O'Connor (Birmingham, UK) 39 out of 39 found this review helpful
The gentleman who sold me this game told me these words of wisdom: "My girlfriend made me choose between the game and her." Thankfully, he never told me which he chose, but after a month playing this I can understand why. This is a life simulation with a twist, all the villagers are animals. There isn't much of a storyline, your given a house, which you have to pay off, and then you can do pretty much whatever you want. Graphically, this game is brilliant, and very cutesy. There are a wide variety of characters, including, Nook the racoon, Copper, the police dog, and Nibbles the squirrel. Now the gameplay is fantastic, theres the museum to fill, by finding fossils, fish, bugs and paintings. These can also be sold to make money. The villagers all have a load of different jobs for you, usually giving something to another character or collecting something. You can obtain money by selling whatever you can to increase your house and kit it out as you like, and there are a number of items to buy including beds, wardrobes, rockets, and different costumes for your character. Best of all, the game changes over time, as it plays in real time. Different characters move in and leave, so that no two villages are the same on any two copies of the game! This has an impact as some fish and bugs can only be caught at certain times of the year. Some of the other nice touches are being able to create your own costumes, AND unlocking various Nes Games including Donkey Kong-and this is only the tip of the ice berg. This game is aimed at children with its nice, friendly looks and gameplay and yet adults will find it enchanting with loads to do. There are those who might be put off by its bright colours and cute graphics, but for anyone who just wants a great game, you must buy this now!

This game where you conduct your own life by all manner of things like helping residents, buying and selling items, is just what you need for continued entertainment i have only had the game for a few days but, i am playing it every day because the game plays in real time so, every day is different what could be better. Get this game. You will not regret it!
