HP Injet 6480 All in one printer January 8, 2009 Prasad Peri (Washington DC) This is an excellent printer and produces very clean and sharp graphics on regular paper and also on photo paper. The added advantage for saving paper is its capability to print on both sides of a page. I would recommend this printer to any one. The wireless and wired networking capabilities are also excellent. All in all I am very happy with this printer.
Hassle-free wireless printing January 7, 2009 M. L. Frydenborg (Stewartstown, PA United States) We bought this to go along with my wife's new Macbook, but we already had three other computers linked through an Apple Time Capsule. The set-up was unbelievably simple. Once I installed the software on each computer I was able to print instantly. It's much faster and smaller than our previous G85 all-in-one and the print quality is a tad better. My only concern is about how much printing we'll actually get from each cartridge, as they are much smaller than the ones on the G85.
Very nice feature set, unbelievably thirsty January 7, 2009 Matt Chase (Arlington, VA USA) I bought this printer about two months ago and, overall, have been very happy. Physically, it's very nice looking; it's both tech-y and smooth at the same time. It's a bit large, but worth the real estate. The feature set is perfect for us. The scanner is a bit slow, but high quality. Copy is great (although I cant get it to copy legal-sized paper). Fax is easy to use. It also makes very cute noises when it turns on and finishes printing. The printer is fast in both black and color ink. But speaking of ink, this thing GULPS ink in a way I have never seen. (I thought my old Cannon MP530 was bad...). The ink cartridges that ship with the unit are so small they remind me of a baby's toy. I saw there are XL versions available; when I refill I might switch to that. The application which HP supplies is the largest, slowest, most clumsy app. I downloaded the new version and can't remember how many 10s of MB is was, but it was huge. And it literally takes as long as MS Office to install. It's all pretty, sure, but I don't need any of that. It also couldn't seem to find my printer on the network (see below) during its autodiscovery mode, so I had to enter that manually. I have mine connected to my wired network, so I don't use the built-in wireless. I connect to it via a static IP address which was super easy to set and use. All my computers connect to it via my wireless router. The web interface to the printer is very nice, too. It shows you settings and status for the printer.
Software installation NIGHTMARE!!!! January 3, 2009 Jason L. O'Brien 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'd love to comment on how this printer works, but I've spent four hours trying to get the software to load and it won't. The tech support guy (in his barely intelligible Indian accent) is telling me that it's a Windows problem, and not an HP problem (although I've had another HP product on the same machine for four years). I'm getting ready to cram it back in the box and take it back to OfficeDepot!!!!
printer January 3, 2009 Robert Principato the hp all in one printer is excellent the wireless worked well and set up was easy.
