Xbox 360 Wireless Adaptor January 6, 2009 Gregory D. Renk (Boston, USA) This product was easy to install and my son loves the ability to play games with others, it is a shame it is not included with the system like the Wii.
An Annoying Necessity January 6, 2009 The Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter is a well made accessory. It generally works very well at picking up a signal from a wireless airport. However, this item is very overpriced. I do not wish to seem like a fan of Sony, because I have had my Xbox 360 for several years now and believe that it is currently the best console of this generation, but making one pay $85 for what Sony gives installed in the PS3 is ridiculous. Let alone the $50 per year to have Xbox Live, this is just Microsoft trying to get more of your money. Luckily, I got this item for a friend for a mere $10. If money is no object however, I would recommend this product as it does work how it intended to.
Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter December 30, 2008 George J. Zietkiewicz (Orlando, Florida USA) I received this product as used from an Amazon.com associate. Its purpose is to allow an XBOX 360 get access to the internet and to get on the Xbox live system. It has performed flawlessly. I was able to link up via my wireless LAN and get on to XBOX Live. I even was able to download one of the videos that are available at that site. It works great and I saved about [...] bucks by not purchasing this item new.
Good wireless adapter December 28, 2008 M. A. Reif (houston Area, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this Nov-2007 to allow my son-in-laws xbox to talk to my network so we could use xbox live. Then Christmas 2007 I got my xbox and have been using this since then. My son-in-law just bought one for his xbox at his new house. Now that is the setup for the following just so you understand the setup. Mine has functioned flawlessly ever since I got it. It works with my older secured D-Link router just fine. I am running 802.11g, and have never had problems with my xbox online that I could say was my network connection. The xbox makes setup sort of easy, as easy as any wireless connection I guess, not saying that in itself is easy. If you are running a secured wireless router (and you should be) just make sure you select the proper security and password. My xbox is only 10 feet or so from my router, but through a wooden TV cabinet and a couple interior walls. My son-in-laws is another story, is one reason I brought that up. He has a new house, and his d-link N series router is on the second the floor, in the far corner of the farthest bedroom he can get from his xbox. His xbox is on the first floor, in the opposite corner of his house. All the attic "stuff" like A/C and Furnace, is between his xbox and the router. We were playing four people on xbox live with no problem we could attribute to his network connection, even though my wife was using my laptop wireless also at the time and surfing the net. I would say line-of-sight between his router and his xbox is about 70 feet give or take, but has 4 or 5 walls, a floor plus the attic "stuff" in between. One thing I like about this product is it hooks into the xbox, no external power source is required, and if you pack up your xbox to take somewhere else, it just goes along for the ride without a second thought. Sure built in would be a better option, but it is what it is and even though I think this is pretty over priced, it is still a really good option.
Perfect for online gamers December 24, 2008 B. Johnston (USA) This product is perfect for wirelessly accessing you XBox Live account. Easy plug in connectivity, though you ISP connection may prove a little tricky for those who are not tech saavy. A must for all gamers.
